Sam

Some things about Sam:
  • Sam used to shove his 1 square foot of fleecy Pooh baby blanket in his mouth all night and no amount of washing would get rid of the stain or smell.
  • One year later, Sam discovers his shirt. Sam scene.
  • I take his shirt away. He now sleeps stripped to his waist.
  • Tonight, he's crying in his crib after he's been asleep for a couple of hours.
  • His hands are held up by his face and he's rocking on his side. A little strange. I think maybe he's sucking on his hands now.
  • Nope. It's his pants. And actually he's wearing shorts tonight so he's trying to get his knees up to his mouth.
You should also know that Sam, for about a week, wore layers to bed. Diaper, Jackson's undies, pants. Then it advanced to diaper, undies, pants, undies. Why? Because he was ripping off his diaper at some point after he went to bed and then peeing all over himself and then waking up crying in a puddle. Gross. Thankfully that has stopped, but I think that our next move in the "don't eat your clothes" war will be the diaper-undies layer. When Sam is tired, at any point, he'll start to eat his shirt. He knows he's not supposed to. So sometimes, like at lunch today, Sam is not wearing a shirt.
