Patchwork Photography

Erin Alkema just posted about Patchwork Photography on Facebook and I followed up on it and I'm a fan! It's a Utah-based photographer who is trying to get her name out there! I'm still on my "Celebrate the Boy" kick and love what she's done with her boy pictures! I didn't want to just put the pictures on here but the links are HERE, and HERE, and HERE! That last one is a girl but I love the picture all the same. Except I think a boy would be covered in mud! Kids are so cute and so much fun to take pictures of!

Do You Think This Pattern is "Boy" Enough?

New Nursery Bumper Set: I made it so ignore the lumps and uneven-ness. I'm thinking of taking down the "Love" thing. I think it's too girly, but I may be wrong. What do you think?

We did buy a mini crib for the new baby (Thanks to Crystal for her advice) and cleaned out a closet and now the new baby is going in there. I'm going to make a hobo sack for Jackson when he comes to the hospital and I'll fill it with "big brother" stuff. I'm making it out of an old shirt of mine, but is it "boy" enough?

And chillin' pics of my boys.

Over the hill

While at the park, a little girl game up and informed me that she was 3 and how old was Jack Jack? I said almost two. She repeated that she was three and not two. I said you're all grown up. You're like an old lady. She said, Yeah, I'm almost an old lady like you! Serves me right!

I don't understand why Cupid was chosen to represent Valentine's Day. When I think about romance, the last thing on my mind is a short, chubby toddler coming at me with a weapon. ~Author Unknown

Here are a lot of different pictures. Jr is foraging for soothers under his bed in the upper ones. The four last pictures are earrings that I have made/fixed. The green ones were GG's. We've also got proof that we had the missionaries over for dinner. The doughnuts are from a doughnut shop called "The Donut Man" and it's in Glendora.
Here it:

The Fullers were the ones to tell us about this and so one day, Jr and I surprised Daddy-o with half a dozen doughnuts. There's the strawberry, tiger tail...Jr also got a bite of his first doughnut and you can see by the first picture how much he got through before he was done.

We've also got pictures of Jr waving his arms as we say the book's catch phrase, "Yes, we can!" And then there's a really cute picture of him grinning like the Cheshire Cat!

Celebrate the Boy

I've been so jealous over little baby girls and their mommies because girls get all the cute stuff: cute diaper covers, cute headbands, flowers, hair clips, shoes, socks, etc. Not to mention all the cute patterns and colors. I've never really been one for pink, but pink and brown is looking mighty nice. I've been bitten by the craft bug (or hit the "nesting" phase) and I've been looking for stuff to make/do for Junior. Emily introduced me to Rainy Day Activities for Kids which has just been awesome. Blog surfing, and I have no idea how I found this website, I discovered Made By Rae. This month, she and a bunch of other people, are "Celebrating the Boy". All things that you can make for boys are on there and there are some great tutorials. Pants, hats, toys, trinket keepers, silk screen, masks and more! I'm so excited; I even added one of her buttons on the side! Just wanted to share! That's all!

Fire Alarm

Someone pulled the fire alarm for our entire building at 6:20 this morning! It went off in high piercing shrieks for about 10 minutes! Luckily Jackson slept through the whole thing!

He Likes Yogurt

These yogurt pictures were taken last night at dinner. What can be said? He likes yogurt!
